It has been a transitional summer as mommy and I prepare to switch roles. Mommy goes back to work officially on August 20th, but has of course been spending a great deal of time and energy getting ready to be a teacher again after her year at home with you. I am gradually taking on all the household duties that go along with being a stay at home dad, as well as getting used to being with you all the time.
So far, I'm loving it! You are so much fun to hang out with, and I very much enjoy our time at home together. We have been going on lots of walks, some bikerides, visiting people, cleaning and painting the house, and even making the occasional trip to the Home Depot. Who knew we could have so much fun together!

One day, while cousins Andy and Louisa were visiting, we hiked up to Mount Mitchell together, the highest point east of the Mississippi River. Actually, we drove up most of it and walked the last few hundred yards.
