"We Like Our New House"

So we've been here in West Virginia more than a month now, and we all seem to feel at home. Even though we do miss our friends in Asheville, we love our new house and our new town. Here's some shots of us in the front yard sometime around the beginning of May.

"Around The House Entertainment"

You have become such an entertaining part of our lives. As you learn more and more, and are able to do more and more, we often find ourselves just sitting back and watching as you entertain us with you new skills and tricks.

Here you are doing some yoga, which you discovered for yourself before you could even walk, and showing off some of your spinning-in-circles tricks you've been practicing lately.

And here you are playing a new favorite game called READY...SET...GO! Basically you just wait for us to say it and then run across the room screaming like a mad man. It's very entertaining for all three of us, and mommy and I don't even have to move to enjoy it.

"Not All Of Our Adventures Go According To Plan"

So today I thought it would be fun for you and I to go on a hike. We got packed up and headed out in my truck, but we didn't make it far before you decided you'd rather be pitiful. You practically fell asleep in the car and whined about wanting to go home. So I decided to skip the hike and just run a couple errands, thinking that you would at least enjoy wandering around the store a little (you usually do). But no such luck today. We had to cut everything short and just go home. Oh well! I suppose that's just the way it goes. We all have bad days.

"A Skirmish On Church Street"

civilwar

So this weekend in Lewisburg was the reenactment of a Civil War battle. Today we decided to take you to see the civil war camp and the "Skirmish on Church Street". Mommy even dressed up for the event. You seemed interested right up until the first cannon was fired. It was loud! When we heard the shot, you thought about it for about 10 seconds, and then burst into tears and demanded to go home immediately.

"A Bikeride On The River Trail"

bikeride

Today we had a successful adventure. It was a beautiful morning and you and I decided to go on a bikeride along the Greenbrier River Trail. We had a great time! We've been on a bunch of bikerides together before, but it seems that you are now finally big enough to really enjoy them. I hope we make them a regular part of our lives. Maybe we can even talk mommy into coming with us!
