Asheville Here I Come!
After realizing that I just couldn't stay in Greensboro any longer, I decided to move to Asheville. At the time, my brother was attending Warren Wilson College, so I was somewhat familiar with the area. I managed to find a job and a small apartment, and made the move. I lost that job in two weeks when the place went bankrupt, but that's another story. I had a hard time at first in Asheville, not knowing anyone other than my brother, but eventually I found my place.
Within a year my friends from college, Bud and Rain, decided to move to Asheville as well, and after living together in my studio apartment for a month (I'm not quite sure how we managed that), we found a three bedroom house in West Asheville and moved right in. We lived there for the better part of two years, along with Rudy the dog. All in all, those two years were great. I worked a crappy job, collected unemployment, watched a lot of Magnum PI, and met my future wife. I wouldn't change a thing.
But as with everything else, those days came to an end. It was after this that April and I first lived together in our apartment.
